M&A: Synpulse advise Unione Fiduciaria

Synpulse advise Unione Fiduciaria on the sale of its software and services subsidiary Algorfin to Objectway

London/Milan, January 18, 2019 – The leading Italian fiduciary firm Unione Fiduciaria S.p.A. announced the completion of the sale of its subsidiary Algorfin to Objectway, a renowned fintech group in Italy and one of the premier European players in software and services for wealth management, investment and asset management.

Algorfin is a specialised provider of software and services to major asset management firms in the Italian market. Synpulse acted as a strategic advisor to Unione Fiduciaria, playing a leading role in the spin-off and subsequent sale of Algorfin.

Filippo Cappio, Managing Director of Unione Fiduciaria, said: «This transaction represents the culmination of our efforts to separate Unione Fiduciaria’s core fiduciary advisory and technology services from the Algorfin asset management software and services business. Synpulse successfully supported us with a wide range of consulting activities, from the operational stabilisation of Algorfin to strategic advisory on the sale. The positive outcome demonstrates the strength of Synpulse’s comprehensive offering.»

Daniele Concari, Associate Partner and M&A practice leader at Synpulse, commented: «This deal is a valuable reference for our growing M&A practice, where we advise financial service, fintech companies and their investors in all phases of the M&A process.»
