Life after Synpulse

What have you been up to since leaving Synpulse?

After leaving Synpulse, I had a short stint at a global fintech company before moving to Standard Chartered Bank as one of the product owners in its digital advisory team.

The Synpulse factor

What do you miss most about Synpulse?

Apart from all the wonderful colleagues and friends, I miss being able to call upon the wealth of expertise and knowledge from all our consultants across the various offices in a short span of time.

What are some of your favourite memories of Synpulse?

My time at Synpulse was filled with colourful and diverse experiences. From my first overseas work experience managing the TDS implementation at Macquarie in Sydney to attending the BMC in Switzerland and conducting virtual BMCs in Singapore during the COVID-19 pandemic, each experience left a lasting impression.

Even small events like SRM, Christmas, and Chinese New Year dinners hold a special place in my heart. I’ll never forget the time we had a Christmas cruise in 2019. While not quite positive, there are some memories that stand out as favourites, like the time a Programme Director once asked me if I was ‘just there to carry Rahul’s bag’. Although challenging, that moment taught me the importance of standing up for myself and challenging stereotypes.

How has your Synpulse career impacted you?

Working at Synpulse helped me become more structured at work, developed an eye for detail (especially on slides), and learned how to deal with difficult stakeholders and situations.

I still keep in touch with a number of people at Synpulse, and I’m always up for alumni events! I often also recommend contacts who would like to enter the consulting industry to consider Synpulse.
